Many alcohols are gut and nervous system irritants. Usually well tolerated by people with food intolerance are whisky, gin and vodka (low in fodmap sugars and food chemicals:  amine and salicylates).  Any alcohol drunk excessively is a brain and liver toxin.  If you have a liver condition or your liver is very sluggish and not detoxifying effectively (FLDP Test not standard liver test), it is best to give alcohol a miss until this situation has improved.
