Environmental Control Plan

Dr Ziem’s Environmental Control Plan is available for printing at www.chemicalinjury.net .  It is aimed at people with chemical injury and environmental illness / multiple chemical sensitivity.  But may also be helpful for some people with CIRS. It provides tips for minimising exposures to heavy metals, VOCS and other that can cause or exascerbate chemcial injury and enviromental hypersensitivity symptoms.

My experience with it has taught me that it is best to implement this plan based on just a few small goals at a time. Starting with what is affordable and easiest for you to achieve, taking into consideration your support and social networks, and energy and stress tolerance limits. It has also taught me that whilst reducing environmental exposures does provide symptom relief (significant), it may not be enough to promote recovery.  Rather it needs to be combined with multi dimensional recovery plan, that includes nutritional rebalancing and cleansing.

Note: the Neural Sensitisation Supplement Protocol recommended by Dr Ziem, works very well for some, but not for other. Most likely those with severely altered sulfation liver detox pathways and phenol (salicylate) intolerance will struggle with it.
